For easy exchange of digital data between BHE and our clients, we have developed a proprietary "Automated FTP" (AFTP) site that provides this functionality.

The AFTP site allows clents with Internet access to upload files to specific BHE employees easily through a standard Internet browser. The recipient BHE employee receives an email that a file has been uploaded and a link to its location. The recipient can then download the file to corporate storage inside the firewall for further procesing.

The AFTP site also allows BHE employees to create a download request and provide a file to be easily downloaded by a client with Internet access and a browser. The employee creating the request assigns a password to the file to be downloaded and an email confirmation is forwarded to the client with instructions on how to download the file.

This process allows our employees and clients to quickly respond to file upload/download needs without having to involve the IT department or create static FTP sites. By using standard Internet access and broswers, issues with corporate firewalls and access list policies are avoided.
